“Akshay has wanted to work with Jackie Chan for a very long time. While filming for Blue, he spoke to his producers about his desire to work with the international star. Now with Akshay so keen himself to be a part of such a film, the banner is going all out to make it possible,” says a source.Describing the story in mind, the source adds that it will be an all out action film.”It’s not going to be a film where Jackie will be making a special appearance. He and Akshay will be the main protagonists in the film. Obviously considering both their backgrounds, there will also be a lot of martial arts based stunts and fight sequences. It will be a high energy film which will be completely shot in the US with major technicians and fight masters from Hollywood,” adds the source. Initial discussions have also begun with Chan’s agents. “The producers have got in touch with Jackie’s managers. Chan is very busy in Hollywood and so with his busy schedule, the film will be planned well in advance. It needs to be wrapped up in one schedule and so it is essential for the dates to match Akshay’s availability as well. So right now tentative dates are being discussed… A hush hush meeting will take place soon between Shri Ashtvinayak officials and Jackie Chan’s company to take the film forward,” says the source.
