Amrita Rao seemed to give her mum a break, when she recently attended an awards function sans her favourite all-time companion.

Accompanying her instead was her dad Deepak Rao. And as he interacted with Amrita’s friends and well-wishers, one could see where the pretty actress gets her wits from. When someone asked him about missing not having a son, a proud dad quickly retorted, “Who needs a ‘son’, when I have a star.” Amrita’s made her papa very proud and she seems all set to make him prouder.
