She can be recovering from a bout of food poisoning but Kareena Kapoor’s planned getaway with beau Saif Ali Khan is very much on. It’s going to be a festival unlike any she’s had in the past. No five-star hotels or comfort resorts. Saif and Kareena plan to go on a backpacking trip through Europe in the coming days. She’s only awaiting the universal release of her film 3 Idiots after which she’ll be packing her rucksack and leaving with Saif for a month long adventure trip in the cool clime of Europe.
The couple will be navigating with the help of maps. “I love backpacking trips. I guess more than that, it’s daring. Saif has taught me how to read maps, which is an necessary skill to pick up when you are on a back-packing trip,” Kareena is quoted as saying in a media report. Kareena goes on to add that the trip is well deserved after all the hard work she’s done in 2009.
And the getaway is timely as well since she’s already finished the shoot of Karan Johar’s Hindi remake of ‘Stepmom’.
