Arbaaz Dumps wife Malaika for brother’s Lady Love Katrina

Actor turned producer Arbaaz Khan dumps his wife Malaika Arora for brother Salman Khan’s girlfriend Katrina Kaif. Arbaaz Khan is to delve in to film production for the first time and has decided to cast Katrina Kaif in the female lead role. Arbaaz wife Malaika Arora Khan is not happy at all.

According to source, “Apparently, Malaika was supposed to be the lead actress in Arbaaz Khan’s first home production flick. But with the recent success achieved by Katrina, Arbaaz has decided that it would be a better option financially to replace his wife with his brother’s future wife”.

The source added, “As one would expect this has not gone down well with Malaika who is now threatening to leave him if he does the intended, Malaika is very jealous of Katrina and it is common knowledge that the two ladies share cold vibes”

Arbaaz Khan is all set for a new innings. The year 2008 has been a turning point in his career. After winning accolades for his performance in Woodstock Villa, JTYJN and now Fashion, Arbaaz is getting ready for a new role - Film producer.To start with, Arbaaz has already floated his film production concern, Arbaaz Khan Productions. His maiden venture, scripted-directed by Abhinav Kashyap (Anurag Kashyap’s brother), will star elder brother Salman Khan in the lead.”Actually, Abhinav had approached me initially. He wanted me to act in his film. I decided to produce it instead,” said Arbaaz.Was it easy getting Salman for the lead role? “Had he (Salman) disliked the script, he would’ve told me right away to work on something else. But he was floored when he heard the narration. He hasn’t portrayed a role like this so far and was game for it instantly,” said Arbaaz. The leading lady is yet to be finalised. “Either we go for a fresh face, who’s supremely talented or we go for an established name, who’s a powerful actress. We’ve yet to take a call on that. Will I act in the film? I might! I think I may settle for one of the key roles,” Arbaaz says.

As the two get into a fun conversation with Sajid, they touch upon controversies surrounding their married/professional life amongst many other things.Arbaaz Khan finally got a chance to dance on a Shah Rukh Khan number. Along with his wife Malaika, he made an entry into the show while shaking a leg on the number Kaal Dhamaal (Kaal).Not many remember that close to 15 years ago, Arbaaz and Malaika had worked together for an MR coffee commercial. It had turned out to be a controversial outing due to its bold theme but for Arbaaz and Malaika, it worked wonders. Sparks flew, the two fell in love and a few months later, they tied the knot. Sajid brings back this 20-second commercial for the sake of nostalgia.Another little known fact was revealed about Sajid Khan’s role in the marriage of Arbaaz and Malaika. Did he play naughty there as well?

There were quite a few naughty incidents on the episode as well. Arbaaz cracked a joke around a condom, something which has to be seen and heard during the show! The two confess for the first time in public that they used to trouble Kapoor by giving him blank calls on numerous occasions. Well, what was the reason behind that? The two spill the beans! On asked about the more handsome of the two Khans, Malaika didn’t blink an eyelid and replied that she did find Arbaaz far more handsome than Salman Khan. Arbaaz shared an interesting anecdote around the first award that he got for the film Daraar. As he collected his Filmfare trophy for his villainous role and returned to his seat, yesteryear villain Ranjeet, in his own colorful manner, asked him to hand over the ‘nude girl’ to him!
For the best and worst scenes of Arbaaz, Daraar and Hello Brother were the chosen films respectively. However for Malaika, while Chaiyya Chaiyya was the unanimous choice for the best dance number that she has been a part of, the choice for the worst track of hers was quite a shocker. Which was this number? Any guesses?

Salman Khan goes missing from brother Arbaaz’s premiere

The buzz is that it was the presence of the Bachchans (especially Aishwarya’s) that was the cause of Salman’s no-show.
Avoiding the B’s
Says a source, “Arbaaz held a trial on Thursday for the Khan family at 12.30 in the afternoon at Ketnav theatre in Bandra where everyone from Alvira and Atul Agnihotri, Salim and Salma Khan to Salman was present. After the trial, Salman drove off to his Panvel farmhouse in the evening. But the real reason that Salman and Salim Khan didn’t go for the premiere, which was such an important event for Arbaaz was because Salim Khan and Salman wanted to avoid the Bachchan family. Recently, Salim Khan had made certain disparaging remarks against Amitabh Bachchan and it would have made an awkward moment for both if they had come face-to-face.”
No awkwardness, please
Apparently, Salman also wasn’t keen on coming. The source clarifies, “Though Salman shares a cordial relationship with Abhishek and a warm and affectionate relationship with the Big B, it would have made for another awkward moment if Aishwarya, the Bachchan bahu and he bumped into each other at the premiere. Rather than have so many uncomfortable moments the Khan family decided to skip the premiere.”
Arbaaz, however, says, “Salman has just returned from a long and hectic schedule of Main Aur Mrs Khanna in Australia so he couldn’t make it to the premiere. But dad and him and the rest of the family saw it at the trial at Ketnav. Also he’s currently very busy preparing for his TV show, Dus Ka Dum, which airs next week on June 6. We have seen the first episode and Salman is simply brilliant!”
Daddy’s boy
Arbaaz is thrilled with the response he’s got for his performance in Woodstock Villa, where he plays Neha Uberoi’s husband. Arbaaz’s “biggest critic”, his father, Salim Khan has also liked his performance.Dad never gets over-enthusiastic in his praise so when he says it’s good it means a lot. He’s liked the film and my performance. It was a challenging role to play where I had to convey a lot silently through my expressions. Many have said that it’s one of my best performances in recent times.”

Media disgrace Malaika Arora, Arbaaz Khan upset

Gossips, publicity stunts, media glaring are part and parcel of a celebrity’s life. Media keeps a 24/7 watch on their personal and professional life and tries to create news out of nothing. Any wrong happening in a celebrity’s life is a right opportunity for the media to knit news. The perfect example is Arbaaz Khan and his wife Malaika Arora who recently went to publicize a product but ended up sending a wrong message and as a result their 10 years happily married life became a matter of front-page interest. Arbaaz is a family man and the entire incidence upsets him a lot who is very possessive about wife Malaika.Arbaaz said he won’t tolerate any event that affects his wife’s image. It has hurt him intensely when media spread false news of their splitting up and his re-marriage and at the same time dragging their small child into the matter. He busted his anger to the media for spreading a wrong and misleading story and making juicy news out of his happily married life. Arbaaz’s parents were also disheartened about this false story and astonished to see how the matter turned into an ugly picture.

In the aftermath of their endorsement publicity-driven ‘break-up’, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan agree that they goofed up. But the couple add that there were no clarifications given by the strategists at Ponds, which they were endorsing. Arbaaz takes a stand. Read on… Why did you decide to be part of such a strategy?
Ponds is a big brand. When they wanted to re-launch, they approached Malaika and me. They were looking for people with a strong image who represented love and togetherness. There was a clear concept, strategy and script in place where they spoke about Malaika renewing our marriage vows at the end of the event. The stuff about the ‘other woman’ in my life and Malaika leaving me was concocted.

Both of you have been projected as publicity hounds.
Malaika and I don’t need to resort to such cheap publicity. I had my reservations about the concept right from the beginning but Ponds said they had it all covered — they’d protect and back us. They were supposed to do damage control on the same day as the break-up rumours but somehow that didn’t happen.

A lot of people feel it was because of the big money (Rs 1.5 crore) offered to you both that made you say yes to such a stunt…
That’s not true. Why would Ponds take people with strong images to tarnish them in the media? Nobody is blaming the marketing strategists that came out with the concept. It’s like in bad films, people blame the stars but not the director. Malaika and I did goof up and we are very sorry about it. We accept that it was our fault but it will never happen again.

Did Malaika and her family know that the break-up story was just a marketing strategy?
No. Our families are very upset and hurt. We didn’t keep them in the loop but we never thought that our images would be destroyed and we would be affected so badly. We regret that we did it. We apologise to our families for hurting them. It was just a strategy, which we thought was cute but we never thought it would get so ugly. In the process, we became the scapegoats. It’s an eye-opener for all celebrities today so that they too don’t get taken in by a publicity strategy of a big company. We fell prey to them — but that will never happen again.

Malaika, Arbaaz to divorce

Arbaaz and Malaika Arora’s 10-year-old marriage is to end, we can reveal. The news around Bollywood is that Arbaaz has found a new love with whom he is living secretly at a Bandra property. The actor separated from Malaika, his wife since 1997 and mother to five-year old Arhaan, two weeks ago. A friend of Malaika has told the media, “Malaika and Arbaaz have stopped communicating with each other completely. She is not even aware where Arbaaz is.” Arbaaz, on the split and a rumoured second marriage, says, “I don’t want to comment on my personal life or on Malaika. Why is the press so impatient? They will know whether I’m remarrying or not in due time. I will probably talk about it soon. At this moment I don’t want to say anything further.”
