Harman, Priyanka do not love each other

Earlier it was only Priyanka Chopra who denied being involved in any sort of love relationship with Harman Baweja as career comes first for her and she is totally devoted to it but for the first time, her so called boyfriend Harman Baweja grasped that they were not couple. He rebuffs sharing any sort of love relationship with Piggy Chops. Though they moved around and attended events together, they never came open about their relationship. After the debacle of Love Story 2050, rumors were rife that Priyanka kicked out Harman from her life as he failed to shine in his debut flick.When a news daily asked Harman about his on and off relationship with Priyanka, he said, “What can I say? I never said we were a couple before. So why should I react when people are splitting us.”But sources and the couple’s mutual friend burst the secret, “In fact, both of them are so busy and yet they try to meet up at least once every day.”

Really, Harman-Priyanka’s love story is head scratching. To dig out the truth of their linking is a tough job indeed.

Priyanka Chopra is in a grim mood these days, all thanks to a hattrick of flop movies to her credit. The Chopra babe doesn’t know how to pep up her mood after weathering the dismal performances of her flicks which include- ‘Love Story 2050’, ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ and ‘Drona’. And, beau Harman Baweja is doing every bit to get her out of this misery.The Baweja lad has reportedly decided to cut-short his shooting schedule for a movie opposite Genelia D’Souza (for which both are currently shooting in Greece) and fly down to Mumbai to (only) attend the premiere of Priyanka’s much anticipated flick ‘Fashion’ and boost the morale of his ladylove. According to grapevine, Priyanka is really perplexed and is keeping her fingers crossed, despite of the good pre-release reviews that the soon to be released flick has garnered and for obvious reasons is wanting her man to stay around her at such an anticipating situation.Guess, Harman is just making hay while the sun is shining, given his patchy and bumpy love life.

Now, after three flops anyone wouldn’t want to be left alone, would they?

Harman Baweja gets offer of film from Farhan Akhtar

He may be a Hrithik Roshan clone and his first film a major Box Office flop, but newcomer Harman Baweja is getting some good offers… read on!
Apart from Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ashutosh Gowarikar signing up the Love Story 2050 actor, we now hear that Farhan Akhtar has also approached him. Says a source, “Farhan has been working on a script for a long time and had Harman in mind for the part. He met the actor and narrated the script to him. Harman loved it, and instantly signed it. The movie will be produced under Excel Entertainment, a joint venture between Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.”
The source further adds, “The script revolves on friendship and is a realistic movie which shows a journey of friendship and life. Harman is the solo hero and is really excited about the project. He has been a hardcore admirer of Farhan’s films since Dil Chahta Hai.”

When approached on this matter, producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed, “Yes we were in talks with Harman.” In related news, Harman will once again be working with his father, Harry Baweja (Love Story 2050). This flick is titled James N Bond and is an action-comedy. According to sources, “The movie will have three actors. It will be shot in India, Paris and New York. Currently, it is in the scripting process and the rest of the cast has to be finalised. There might be no leading lady. This will be Harry’s first attempt at comedy.”

Sri Lankan cricketers land Bollywood roles

Sri Lanka’s top cricketers had a shot at Bollywood stardom when they were filmed for an upcoming movie that features some of the best players in the world. Scenes for “Victory,” a story of a small town boy who dreams of playing cricket for India, were shot in Colombo last week, with actor Harman Baweja playing against Sri Lanka’s national team. Sri Lankan stars Kumar Sangakkara, Muttiah Muralitharan and Sanath Jayasuriya were among those filmed at one of Colombo’s oldest cricket venues, the Oval. Also starring in the 10-million-dollar movie will be the Indian team, plus Australian paceman Brett Lee, England bowlers Sajid Mahmood and Simon Jones, and New Zealander Craig McMillan. “The film combines what Indians love best — cricket, music and Bollywood movies,” Sri Lankan producer Chandran Rutnam, who handled the Colombo leg of the shooting, told AFP. Rutnam said Bollywood names such as Baweja and Amrita Rao play key roles in the movie, but the biggest draw would be 40 international cricketers from seven countries, who all play themselves. “This was more difficult than actually playing cricket,” Sri Lankan paceman Dilhara Fernando told reporters here, after his first Bollywood experience.

The plot centres around a father who dreams his young son (played by Baweja) will rise from a small village in Rajasthan to play cricket for India. “Luckily, I’ve always been a cricket fan, but then I think every Indian is born loving cricket,” Baweja, 27, told reporters.Playing against some of the world’s most famous cricketers was an intimidating experience, Baweja said.”It helps that they are all going easy on me,” he admitted.Filming, which began in Sydney last December, also includes locations in India, England and Pakistan, Rutnam said.The film is intended to give a glimpse into backstage politics and the role that sponsors, selectors and managers play in the game, he said.

“Victory” is not Bollywood’s first move into cricket. “Lagaan” was released to rapturous reviews in 2001 and was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign language film.In 2003, British-made film “Wondrous Oblivion” told the story of a young Jewish cricket fan growing up next door to West Indian immigrants in south London in 1960.For “Victory” director Ajitpal Mangat, meeting the stars of the game has been one of the highlights of the marathon shoot.”These are all guys I’ve sort of admired from afar — and then here’s Murali (Muttiah Muralitharan) actually taking directions from me,” Mangat said.The film is scheduled to have its premier in January in Bombay, followed by a release in Britain.

Former lovebirds, Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja are back together after hitting a rough patch a few days back. The latest buzz that’s doing rounds in the filmi town is that of a patch up between the two heartthrobs. Piggy Chops and arm candy Harman’s relationship had hit a roadblock and not long ago Priyanka had apparently dumped beau Harman. The industry insiders had suggested that it was the dismal performance of Harman’s launch vehicle ‘Love Story 2050’ that acted as the last straw in a relationship which was already strained. Some had also correlated the episode with the fact that the two were never meant to be together as Harman’s family was opposing their alliance since day one. But as they say, all’s well that ends well. Hence, all the talk of their split up, after ‘Love Story 2050’, has been put to rest.

The two have now decided to not let work or the distance make things go haywire in their relationship. Harman, who recently lost his cell phone was gifted with a brand new handset by none other than ladylove Priyanka so that she can stay connected with her beloved.

Now, don’t get any other ideas; they are ‘good friends’ and we hope they remain that way always. In fact, recent reports that the failure of Love Story 2050 has caused a rift in their friendship is probably just a rumour and one screen the couple will be seen together again in Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee? The fight we are talking about is a fight at the box office. Initially it was reported that both Priyanka’s Fashion and Dostana would release on November 14. However good sense prevailed and UTV decided to pre pone the release of Fashion to October as having two Priyanka films release on the same day made absolutely no sense for either film. What people seem to have overlooked is the fact that Harman’s next film, Victory is also set to release on November 14. Considering their first release together didn’t click at the box office, we can’t help but wonder what the level of competition will be between the two when their respective films clash at the box office. We hope this time Harman won’t accuse anyone of sabotage though.

Harman Planning A Surprise For Priyanka’s Birthday

Harman Baweja had a special surprise gift for Priyanka Chopra on her 26th birthday.In Priyanka’s own words, she is not impressed by size or price of a gift but the effort that goes behind it. Probably knowing this well, Harman gave Priyanka a perfect gift on her birthday on Friday.He reportedly went out of his way to bring together a number of Priyanka’s friends with whom the actress has been out of touch lately. Without telling Priyanka, he requested her best friend Tamanna in Delhi to fly to Mumbai for the surprise party he wanted to throw for Priyanka, even though the actress was in a mood to sleep and relax on her special day. Harman also got in touch with other friends and close cousins of Priyanka and took a personal interest in inviting them all to China House where the party was held. According to sources, Harman’s surprise party made Priyanka very happy as she got a chance to unwind with her friends after keeping very busy of late.

Harman Baweja, who is on a family holiday in Dubai, intends to go shopping for his girlfriend Priyanka Chopra whose birthday is round the corner. “I don’t know as yet what I’ll get her. But girls like anything you give then in a gift-wrap and with a smile, trust me on that,” Harman teamed up with Priyanka, whose birthday is July 18, in his debut film “Love Story 2050?. Talking about the family holiday, Harman said: “Just the four of us - dad, mom, my sister Rowena and me. We took off for a five-day trip to Dubai. We all needed the break.“The last two years and particularly the last few weeks have been very stressful for all of us. So here we are, just chilling and shopping. Actually the ladies are doing all the shopping. There were reports that Love Story 2050 opened at 20 per cent and 30 per cent and Aamir Khan was sabotaging the film to promote his nephews films.

Q: How would you respond to a critic who says you can’t act?

A: One out of 50 reviews that I read said I can’t act. I hate saying this myself because it sounds wrong but 49 of the reviews have said that a star is born.

Q: Almost every critic has also said that you act like Hrithik and you dance like Hrithik…

A: I disagree. Barring four or five critics, who, I think, are very blatantly prejudiced and biased.

Q: In retrospect, do you think that you should not have released the movie with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.

A: I did not release my film with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was released with my film. I think we announced the film much in advance. Then we got a hint from somewhere that Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was being planned for the same day.

Q: Since you guys wanted a solo release, could you guys not push your film?

A: It would be unfair to the next producer who was releasing the film on 11 July. The producer wanted to release on the 4 July, however, he shifted the release on 11th because of me.

Q: Do you think it is wrong on Aamir Khan’s part to release the film with you?

A: Whatever decision he took, was I think, thought over and was right for him. I have no grudges at all.

Q: But there were so many reports before the release that you guys are saying that Aamir was trying to sabotage your release. Did you say that ever?

A: It is impossible for me to make a statement like that. It is absolute wrongly reported. I don’t even think my dad has ever said it. I don’t think anyone from Adlabs has ever made it. I don’t think that even a spot boy working on my set has ever made that statement.
