The young heartthrobs Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ranbir Kapoor knocked on Bollywood’s door around the same time with their debut flicks Johnny Gaddaar and Saawariya. And we find the two entering into a neck to neck competition, yet again. In the very second film, Ranbir got the chance to be super hot Bipasha Basu’s Lucky Boy in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Neil too has ended up with the same luck. He will be romancing the delicious Bong babe in his second movie directed by debutant director Jehangir Surti. The movie was initially named Freeze but has been now titled Aa Dekhen Zara . Now if that rings a bell, let us take you back to the 1981 movie Rocky where a young Sanjay Dutt shook a leg with Reena Roy on the song Aa Dekhen Zara challenging their competitors Shakti Kapoor and Tina Munim.Here again, it makes for an interesting coincidence that the second films of both Neil and Ranbir derives title from yesteryear hit songs.Neil, who had no dance sequence in Johnny Gaddaar , surprised everyone with his dancing skills at last year’s Filmfare Awards when he synched his steps to the song Move Your Body .

And now the actor is ready to bring that visual treat again for his audience through a power packed dance performance in the film. And the song is none other than a remixed version of the old hit; a la Ranbir Kapoor who danced a thunder on the remixed version of Bachna Ae Haseeno. With Aa Dekhen Zara we wonder if Neil is trying to send a message across to his contemporaries. But it’s only after we see his act on screen that we will decide Kis Mein Kitna Hai Dum .

Sarkar calling Deepika and Ranbir

If the rumours are to be belived Sarkar 3 is going to be maga interesting project. Though Amitabh Bachchan may have expressed his reservation about working in the third Sarkar movie, Ram Gopal Varma never ruled out yet another sequel. In fact, the news of ‘Sarkar 3’ was doing rounds since the day Sarkar Raj released. It was apparent from the open ending that Varma gave to the film. Sarkar Raj ends with Amitabh shown ordering his wife Pushpa (Supriya Phatak) to call his grandson Chickoo (Kay Kay Menon’s son from the earlier film) back from wherever the boy is studying abroad. This open ending gave rise to speculation that there would be a trilogy to the series. Varma, too, had confirmed that he might make another film by taking it on from where they had left.Now news is that Ranbir Kapoor returns to the Sarkar’s haveli as Chickoo in the third film. And that’s not all, he is accompanied by his wife — Deepika Padukone.The speculation is also rife that Jaya Bachchan might play a significant role too.

Whatever the news or speculation, ‘Sarkar 3’ would be soulless without Big B. So, Amitabh and possibly Ash will be there for the sequel as well.Varma, however, is not available for any comments.

Sonam snubs Ranbir, walks out of Shimit Amin’s film

Sonam Kapoor does not believe in second chances. The actress, whose first flick ‘Saawariya’ with the light-eyed hottie of Bollywood Ranbir fizzled out with a trace at the BO, is in no mood to give their onscreen chemistry another go. Even if it means turning down the hot combo of erstwhile banner Yash Raj and acclaimed director Shimit Amin, Sonam sticks to her ‘no Ranbir’ stance.Sonam whose debut flick with Deepika’s baby Ranbir sparked countless theories of reported heartache that she suffered at the hands of the dishy actor is taking all steps possible to keep Ranbir at bay.According to sources, this is the second time that Sonam has turned down a flick that pairs her opposite the actor. The sassy babe had previously walked out of a Vicky Singh’s Mera Jahaan co-starring Ranbir. Though, the sultry babe has not stated any reasons for her refusal as yet, it is learnt that Sonam does not want to be involved with any project that has Ranbir.
A news daily even quoted an insider as saying, “Ranbir’s name figured in Shimit’s film from the beginning. Sonam was pencilled in on later.

Ranbir celebrates B’day with Deepika

Hectic shooting schedule failed to debar Deepika from celebrating Ranbir’s birthday. The actress flew all the way from Ooty to be with beau on his special day. Deepika was shooting for Saif’s home production in Ooty and Ranbir for Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani. Since Deepika was shooting without any break for couple of months, it was not tough for her to get days off. Saif and Dinesh Vijan accepted her leave and freed her for three days. The source adds, “It was a pleasant surprise for Ranbir. He had been very unwell for the last couple of days and was down with fever and Deepika had been very concerned about him. Also, Ranbir has been in Ooty for the last 40 days and Deepika wanted to make sure that he wasn’t alone on his birthday. She flew in from Delhi and drove three hours from Coimbatore to Ooty. The unit celebrated by bringing in his birthday on Saturday with a cake. Ranbir and Deepika went out for a quiet dinner afterwards.”

Birthday without birthday gift seems incomplete. Few days back, Deepika gifted Ranbir MacBook Air and Ranbir being a computer savvy chat on net whenever he is free. He finds it very useful to remain in contact with Deepika as she is away from him in relation to work.

Ranbir is punctual!

Ranbir Kapoor is not just a talented and handsome young actor from the new lot but also a very professional actor. Even though his first film failed to make it at the box office, this starson did not lose hope. Interestingly Ranbir has got big banner films and has no dates to sign any film till the next few years. But how come he has become one of the most selling actors? Well the answer is his professional attitude. It is believed that his directors are quite happy with his punctuality and Raj Kumar Santoshi is no exception to the lot. A unit hand informs that Santoshi who is directing Ranbir in the TIPS films’ Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is impressed by his punctual habits. Ranbir who was shooting in Ooty with his costar Katrina Kaif and other unit members were staying in a hotel which was just an hour’s drive from the location. According to a unit hand though the location wasn’t so far Ranbir used to be the first person to arrive on the set for the 8 am shift, while others including director Santoshi and costar Katrina used to come by 9am. Looking at his punctual habit most of the unit members tried to come on time.

Hope Ranbir could motivate our other actors, who are always late arriving for their shoots.

Sanjay Dutt is Ranbir’s Hero!

We have got to hand it to Sanjay Dutt. Even after years of being in the industry, our Sanju baba is unarguably one of the fittest actors. No wonder that even actors who are far younger to Sanjay admire his physique. And Ranbir Kapoor is no different.The chhota Kapoor loves the way Sanjay has built his physique over the years. Recently, when Ranbir heard that Sanjay was shooting for his upcoming film, EMI near the former’s residence at Bandra, he immediately went to meet his favorite hero on the film’s sets.A unit member said, “Everyone was a little surprised to see Ranbir on the sets. He straightaway insisted on meeting Sanju. They chatted for nearly an hour. Sanju and Ranbir talked about how one can always remain fit.”
Hmmm! Now that Ranbir has taken all the tips from Sanju, don’t be surprised if the youngster shows off his sinewy body in his next film.

Dilip Kumar to return, Ranbir and Imran to co-star with him

Forget Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan or Akshay Kumar… for the greatest actor in Indian film history is about to make his return… who are we talking about… well Dilip Kumar of course.Talented and much appreciated filmmaker Subhash Ghai has managed to get the thespian to make a comeback into Bollywood and the film go into production as early as next year. Says Subhash Ghai, “I had always wanted him (Dilip Kumar) to work again and why not? He has been a great actor and can still do wonders. Dilip Saab has kept himself away from the scene for many years. But I was persistent and kept insisting that he should start working once again and Dilip Saab agreed. We share a great comfort level; he has worked with me in three films - Vidhata, Karma and Saudagar. I explored a subject and a plot that would suit his calibre and legendary stature, and I am working on the script right now.” No other names have been mentioned of Dilip’s co-stars in the film but we have learnt that youngsters Imran Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapur are being targeted.

Apparently the film will be about an old man who has three grandsons, each on very different paths of life. One is police officer, the other a thief and the third insane. Dilip’s character has to decide which one to leave his money to.

Ranbir-Deepika loosen the knot

You should not join Bollywood if you want to have a good romantic love life because privacy is always under attack out there. Young and hot couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are also paying a heavy price for being open about their love. Now, they have decided to tread cautiously. Ranbir and Deepika were pitted against each other, their debut films Saawariya and Om Shanti Om clashed at the theatres. The outcome of that clash was positive anyway. A few months after the films were released, they declared their love to the world. So much has been talked and written about them since then, and now, they seem to be tired of it all.Film directors are making a beeline on the hot couple. Their chemistry in the recently released Bachna Ae Haseeno seems to have ignited the interest of the filmmakers. Rajkumar Santoshi, who is working with Ranbir in Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani is eager to cast the pair together. Directors like Anees Bazmi and David Dhawan are also keen to work with them but they are not very interested.

Deepika said they have decided to be less public about their relationship,as their openness about it was isunderstood,leading to loss of privacy.She added that they don’t have to work together to prove their love or togetherness. Moreover, the couple must be scared of facing the same fate that their predecessors faced. Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor failed miserably in reel life until Jab We Met, which was released after their split. Then Kareena carried the bad fate to her next relationship. Her film Tashan with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan also failed. Well, Ranbir and Deepika seem to have learnt from the mistakes of other Bollywood couples!

Sonam Kapoor bows out of movie with Ranbir

Sonam Kapoor has excused herself from a film that features her Saawariya co-star Ranbir Kapoor . Farhan Akhtar ’s former assistant director Vicky Singh is planning a movie which will star Ranbir as a leading man. He has approached Sonam to play the heroine.But, Sonam is not keen to do the film as she didn’t like the script. The other reason could be her alleged break-up with Ranbir. We will not sensationalize the story with what might have happened. Her secretary Maumita has said that it was Sonam’s choice not to work in the film.Sonam is working on Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra ’s , Dilli 6 and wants to select movies carefully. And the news about her seeing Kunal Kapoor is not new. Kunal, after splitting up with Dia Mirza , is spotted quite often with Sonam. If Ranbir is walking hand in hand with Deepika, so does Sonam.
