Ajay leaves Tusshar dumb struck!

A few days ago before leaving for Paris, when Ajay Devgan had a chat with Tusshar Kapoor about his next release Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Returns, little did Tusshar realise what was in store for him. Tusshar, who is presently in Tirupati, says, “Ajay saw Golmaal Returns before he left for London and Paris and told me that he appreciated my work in the film but I must be very particular about the dubbing. Ajay said to give myself completely to the character. I play a mute guy and it’s tougher for that to dub than actual dialogues. It was important that I experiment with my dubbing techniques and try something different. Ajay is a master at dubbing and he never takes more than one hour to dub for an entire film, so I took his advice seriously.” Tusshar says he practised so hard that after one particular scene, he lost his voice. “There was a particularly intense scene which had to be laughing continuously throughout and I dubbed so intensely that I lost my voice. I couldn’t dub for anything else that day and for the next couple of days. My sound recordist advised me to sip haldi, honey and milk for the two days till my voice became normal again. Though I play a mute, we don’t have too much of sign language in GR. It’s mostly body language which even the audiences will understand.”

Tusshar plays Kareena Kapoor’s brother, Lucky in Golmaal Returns. His ultimate goal is to see that his sister’s marriage remains intact.

Akshay Kumar is a loser not me: Tusshar

Akshay Kumar and Tusshar Kapoor shared sparkling chemistry, playing cops in Rajkumar Santoshi’s KHAKEE. In a few scenes Tusshar managed to hold his own against an ‘in-crackling-form’, Akshay Kumar. Unfortunately, the two were not seen together again, barring a badly made INSAN. Was Akshay Kumar the reason and is that why Tusshar is saying that Akshay Kumar is a loser?
Well, don’t read too much into the lines and we will tell you exactly why! Actually in his next venture, C KKOMPANY, Tusshar plays a character called Akshay Kumar, a journalist (crime reporter) who hosts a late night TV show called ‘Khalbali’, and is shown as a complete loser in life. Tusshar is quick to point out that he is very unlike his C KKOMPANY screen avatar and has a very positive attitude towards life. The hilarious C KKOMPANY also stars Tusshar’s sister, the self made and admirable Telly queen, Ekta Kapoor for the first time, along with Karan Johar. The film is all set to hit the screens this Friday along with Farhan Akhter’s ROCK ON!!, Bobby Deol’s CHAMKU and Sameer Dattani’s MUKHBIIR.

Tusshar-Ekta: Things Not Well

Finally, Ekta and Tusshar Kapoor have started behaving like normal siblings with a healthy amount of sibling rivalry and clashes in their relationship. The brother-sister jodi is working on ‘C Kkhomapany’ and they had a heated argument over the publicity designs of the film. The entire publicity campaign was designed by Tusshar but when he bbrought the designs to the office for Ekta’s approval, she rejected them. Both of them stood adament to their grounds to the extent that theydid not speak for two days after that. Later, things smoothened up when Ekta agreed to meet Tusshar again after ensuring that he incorporates some of her suggestions. C-Company, directed by Sachin Yardi, stars Tusshar Kapoor (as a crime reporter) and Raima Sen. Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar and Sanjay Dutt have important cameos in the film.

What do you do when you have Tusshar Kapoor as the lead actor of a film? That too in an in-house production? Well, rope in a bigger star to promote the film. And that’s what the makers of film C Kkompany are doing.Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is shooting for a promotional video for the film C Kkompany.The film, produced by Balaji Telefilms stars Tusshar Kapoor and Raima Sen in the lead and Sanju Baba who has been roped in only for the music video has also exercised his vocal chords for the song and its all in his trademark bhaigiri style.Sanjay Dutt says, “Bhaigiri to theek hai. Isse upar jaonga to besura, isse neeche jaonag to besura.” (This is all fine, but I will go out of tune if I sing one note higher or lower.) And the man who made him sing this time is music director Anand Raj Anand.

Tushar convinced to Ekta to act

That Ekta Kapoor, the camera-shy czarina of the home medium, is all set to do her first acting role is not new. But very few know that it was her brother who convinced her to take it up. Earlier, Tusshar had coaxed father Jeetendra out of retirement to play his son’s dad in “Kucch To Hai”. Sis Ekta was a harder nut to crack.Tusshar told: “But Ekta couldn’t say no to me. Besides, the role is tailormade for her. You see, she plays Ekta Kapoor in the film. And who else but Ekta Kapoor can play Ekta?” “It’s for our home production ‘C Kompany’. We’re doing this rib-tickling satire on the underworld featuring Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav and I. Mithun Chakraborty plays an underworld don,” added the doting brother affectionately.”It’s just a cameo. And it won’t take up much of Ekta’s time.” Ekta laughs delightedly about her acting debut. “I’m giving them some time this week to shoot my scenes. It’s a small role and how could I say no to my brother? I don’t turn him down for anything. My scenes are with Mithun Chakbraborty. So you can imagine how nervous I am,” said Ekta. Donning different caps seems to be the order of the Friday. While Ekta is gearing up for her acting debut, director Farhan Akhtar is currently facing the camera for the hardcore rock musical “Rock On”. Soham Shah’s next stars Anil, Sanju, Imran and Tusshar

Soham Shah has been trying to make his follow-up movie to Kaal for a long time. The one time faithful assistant to Karan Johar left his clan to make movies outside of Dharma Productions. He will soon be ready with his next film. It stars Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Tusshar Kapoor and Imran Khan (Aamir Khan’s nephew). An industry source reveals, “After leaving Dharma Productions, Soham was to start a film with Kumar Mangat and then with Sanjay Gupta. But neither film materialised. It was his dream to work with Sanjay Dutt and now three years after Kaal, he will finally start working on his new film. It is being produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision (SACV). The script is already complete and the shooting will begin later this year.” Exclusive
Sanjay Dutt is under an exclusive contract with the production company and that’s the reason he is on board this project. Anil and Tusshar have had a script narration and have said okay in principle.“The movie is said to be an adventure film and has a big budget. Three top actresses are going to be finalised for the film,” the source concludes. Soham remained unavailable for a comment, but SACV spokesperson Parag Desai admits, “We have indeed signed Soham for our next. The cast is being finalised. Once that happens, we will make a formal announcement.”
