Seventeen-year-old actress Hansika Motwani has been paired with actors who are more than double her age, but she feels age has nothing to do with acting. “I am not Hansika when I am playing a role. It is the character I am playing, so the age of my co-star does not matter to me at all,” Hansika started her career as a child artiste in Bollywood and worked in films like “Koi… Mil Gaya”, “Escape from Taliban”, “Jaago” and “Aabra Ka Daabra”.

She debuted as a full-fledged actress at the age of 16 with an actor who was more than double her age, composer-turned-singer-turned-actor Himesh Reshammiya in “Aap Kaa Surroor”.

“As an actor you have to play a character when you are asked to. Even if it is a 70-year-old character you have to perform it.”

Now Hansika will be seen with the 40-plus Govinda in the forthcoming comedy “Money Hai To Honey Hai”. She doesn’t mind the age gap and says getting an opportunity to work with a senior actor like him was a privilege.

“I consider myself very lucky to have worked with Govinda sir. I have learnt so much from him and it will definitely be useful to me in future. I think it is a big opportunity for any actor to work with him.”

Hansika is playing the role of a television actor in the comedy.

“I play the character of Ashima Kapoor who is a television actor and wants to make it big in the film industry. The film is about the journey of the actress into the film industry.”

She has also acted in serials like “Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand”, “Hum Do Hain Na” and “Tum Bin”.

Hansika gives credit to her family for shaping her career. “I idolise my mother and attribute my success to her. Without my mother and my family’s support, I would not have reached this place.”

She shot to fame with her launch in the hit flick Aap Ka Suroor’ opposite Himesh Reshammiya. However, she had already tasted success as a child artist. Just a teenager not touching the eighteen year old category, Hansika Motwani has dreams flying high. The sexy teenager has bought herself a brand spanking new car, even though she is not legally allowed to drive yet. So, now she is the proud owner of a Honda Civic (we envy) but will have to wait to get behind that tempting wheel. Till then, her driver will escort her around. Not bad again!

After tasting success with her very first film, the young girl has moved on to sign four big banner films in a row. As Kumar Mangat’s ‘Money Hai Toh Honey Hai’ gets ready for release where she is cast opposite Govinda, the promos really look promising, and the girl will be seen cracking up the comic verses for the very first time! According to our sources, the actress has signed four big banner films recently, but Hansikaa, as all stars do, is tightlipped about the projects. Teenage sensation Hansika Motwani who climbed the ladder of success and fame with her very first release ‘Aap Ka Suroor’ would soon be seen paired against Virar Ka Chora, Govinda in the film, ‘Money Hai To Honey Hai’.Hansika shares that the character she plays in the film is very close to what she actually is in her real life. Q. What’s the story line of your upcoming film, Money Hai To Honey Hai?
A. I cannot reveal much about the film. All I can tell you is that it’s a comedy flick which I am sure people are going to enjoy. Just wait and watch. Q. Your character in it…
A. Well, I am playing the character of a television star who wants to be a film actress. The character tells how she works to become a star when she has money.Q. So what kind of preparations have you done for the film?
A. For this film I have really worked hard on my looks. I look completely different from my first film. Also I have toned down to give this role a very happening look. Hopefully audience will get a pleasant surprise.

Q. How close is the character to your real self?
A. Yes, the character is very close to my real life. Playing me was fun.

Q. How was it working with such a versatile and senior actor like Govinda?
A. Working with Govinda sir was a pleasure for me. I got to work with him at a beginning of my career. I find myself lucky. I learnt a lot from him. Also he helped me out with dancing.

Q. Any interesting incident that you can recall that took place during the shoot?
A. Actually nothing in particular, because during the shoot of the whole film, we enjoyed a lot. We used to have lunch together, and at times we played cards too. The whole film was a treat for me.

Q. Did anyone play any kind of prank on you on the sets?
A. Touchwood, no one has ever played any prank on me yet. As I was the youngest on the set, everyone used to be very sweet and kind to me. Above all, I too was a good girl there.

Q. How easy or hard is it to adjust between film shoots and your schooling?
A. Not very hard because I study in international board which has a very flexible schedule. Being a doctor’s child, it’s very important for me to concentrate on my studies as well.

Q. Are you happy with your career graph?
A. Definitely. I am just a movie old and my second is going to release soon. Yes I am happy for the kind of work I am doing.

Q. What according to you is the success mantra in Bollywood?
A. In Bollywood, you can’t touch the success line without hard work. I am a complete believer in hard work.

Q. Any plans of working on small screen?
A. No. I would not like to comment on this. I think time speaks better.

Q. What are the other projects you are working on?
A. I am not allowed to disclose anything. Let the time come and everything will be clear. But yes, I can promise one thing that people are going to see me more.

As exam fever strikes the nation, Bollywood is not far behind from getting affected! The teenage sensation, Hansikaa Motwani, who had a fabulous entry into Bollywood with Aap Ka Suroor, has been super-busy, shuttling between her Bolly and South Indian projects till now! The actress, who recently returned from South Africa, is now on a break for one month and will be getting into her books, as her Board exams are fast approaching! A student in an International Curriculum School in Mumbai, Hansikaa has always balanced her school life and professional life very well, by being regular to her classes once, every two months! The girl is now burning the night lamp, and aims to come up with flying colors in the Boards.. A very studious Hansikaa opines, “I have always believed that studies is as important as work and after a very long shooting schedule in South Africa for my South film Kantri, opposite Junior NTR and song shoots for Money Hai Toh Honey Hai opposite Govinda, I am taking a 30 day break for my board exams. They are very important and till then, I won’t be doing any film”. Its books, books and just books for Hansikaa for another month or so!!

Animal lover Hansikaa Motwani on a fulfilling shooting trip

Actress Hansikaa is a fiery animal lover so much so that whenever she goes abroad for her shoots, she makes it a appoint to include the area’s popular zoos, wildlife parks and sanctuaries in her trip! And now Hansikaa is all set with packed bags to go to the land of exotic animals: South Africa for her south film shoot!! In spite of not being entirely well, as she had fallen sick while shooting her south film KANTRI opposite Junior NTR in Hyderabad, the actress is on tenterhooks for the trip. Says the animal fan, ‘I’m really looking forward to my shoot in south Africa! I have always wanted to visit the place and go on those exotic safari trips… even though I’m running a fever I’m sure ill recover when I see those majestic animals there!’Well, we are she’ll have a ball of time there!

Hansika Motwani called Mallika Sherawat, Aunty

There are times when we learn certain things from the kids that we never forget throughout our lives.
Something similar happened with our sexy lass Mallika Sherawat. If you recall, Mallika was also a member of the cast of “Aapka Surur’, the first film by Himesh Reshmia and Hansika Motwani.
Those were the days when Mallika was quite annoyed with 15-year-old Hansika who not only addressed the sex siren as ‘aunty, but also teased her making all sorts of faces.
Now it wouldn’t be wrong to say that influenced by Hansika, Mallika has applied all the tricks with her co-stars in the forthcoming film ‘Man Gaye Mughal-E-Azam’ and troubled K K Menon and Rahul Bose a lot.
Especially, Mallika used to make faces and tease K K Menon when he would be busy with the shooting.
When we contacted the director of the film Sanjay Chhel, he said, “Yes, it is true that Mallika was up to such pranks on the sets.
Whenever she used to come on the sets, Mallika used to bow and do salaam to all present much like Anarkali. It was not only Mallika, but also Paresh Rawal. Together they used us tease and annoy everyone present on the set.”
Elaborating, Sanjay Chhel said, “All these things did not bother Rahul as he was Mallika’s co-star in ‘Pyar Ke Side Effects’ and was aware of her ways. But K K Menon was quite upset by such behavior of Mallika and feeling uneasy, the actor would blow red.”
We are happy that notwithstanding all tantrums by Mallika, K K Menon was cool and did not react. Had he reacted, not only the atmosphere on the set would have been affected, but even Sanjay Chhel’s face would have turned red like K K Menon’s!

Aftab Shivdasani and Hansika are seeing each other.

They would make the cutest pair in the tinsel town. If the sources are to be believed former child actors (of course grown-ups now) Aftab Shivdasani and Hansika Motwani are seeing each other. The pair has been spotted on numerous occasions, in Mauritius, enjoying each other’s company and generally living it up. The two actors are in Mauritius as per their shooting commitments. It so happened that one fine day, the cast and crew of the ‘Money Hai Toh Honey Hai’ began asking actress Hansikaa Motwani what actor Aftab Shivdasani was doing in her room. Shocked by the question, she tried her level best to explain that Aftab had never entered her room and that they had got it all wrong. After thirty minutes of justifications and explanations, Hansikaa was almost on the verge of tears when Govinda told her that it was just a joke they were playing on her.There is no smoke without fire, dear Hansikaa!

Bollywood star Govinda all praises for Hansikaa’s dancing skills

Govinda is one of the best dancers our industry has known so far. So, when this veteran dancer praises some new comer, there must be definitely something worth praising. Talking about praises, both Govinda and choreographer Ganesh Acharya were impressed by Hansikaa’s graceful dancing steps during a dance sequence being shot for ‘Money Hai To Honey Hai’. Govinda even told director Ganesh that Hansikaa’s fervor and enthusiasm reminded him of himself from his old days and it feels like she is from his school itself, when it comes to dance!! If sources are to be believed this particular dance number exudes amazing brilliance owing to the dancing skills of Govinda and Hansikaa and their chemistry has taken the number to even greater heights.

saying she has signed on a Bollywood film in the lead opposite none other than cricketer Shoaib Akhtar!ut the news is very much untrue as a very agitated Hansikaa decides to refute all of them.”I have not met Shoaib Akhtar, leave alone read a script or met anyone else from the production team. News of me doing a film with him is totally false.As of now the only film I’m doing are a South film opposite Junior NTR called ‘Country’ and Kumar Mangat’s ‘Money Hai Toh Honey Hai’ opposite Govinda.
