Even though sexy Neha Dhupia has been dating squash champion Ritwik Bhattarcharya for quite some time now, she refuses to talk about marriage. “The very mention of an engagement makes me swallow hard!” says the actress.”Nah, there will definitely be no such thing for a long, long time. Marriage is not on the cards at all. Right now it is only work for me.” She maintains, “There was a great deal of speculation about us, but initially I did not want to say anything. But later I felt that as it is there is a price to pay — our private lives are continuously in the open — so I thought why resort to the clichéd responses? I felt no longer uncool to admit our relationship.” Neha has a few films planned, including Shashant Shah’s Dasvidaniya in which she plays one of the 10 wishes of the main lead Vinay Pathak.

A few years ago, former Miss India and Bollywood starlet Neha Dhupia famously declared: “Only sex and Shah Rukh Khan sells!” In a desperate attempt to make it, she emerged from the sea in a tiny bikini in her debut film and went on to ‘act’ in skin-flicks like Julie and Sheesha.
But now Dhupia is desperate to prove that she is a serious actress. Her recent film Mithya was a moderate success and her performance was praised. The actress is delighted: “I’m glad that over time filmmakers have realised that I have more to give to the industry than just a beauty pageant-winner face.”
Does she mind the fact that she is best known as a sex symbol? “ I don’t really mind the tag. After all most of the women who are my contemporaries and have acted in 15 films – what’s their recall value?”
Dhupia has a new target: she wants to act with Shah Rukh Khan. “I really want to work with SRK before any of us stops acting.” But will the ‘King Khan’ oblige?

She is little known for her acting skills, but Neha Dhupia surely manages to get her share of limelight all thanks to her wild partying habits, catfights and snooty unprofessional acts. This time round, however, it was Dhupia’s late night parties till the wee hours of morning that got her into trouble. The sultry babe delayed the entire cast and shoot of Paritossh Painters’s directorial debut flick ‘Paying Guests’, as she was unable to catch the flight due to excessive partying the night before. As a result, the entire cast that included Celina Jaitley, who by the way does not get along famously with Neha, was left waiting endlessly. Irritated to the core, the cast members decided to give a cold snubbing to Neha, when she arrived on the sets two days later. A news daily even quoted an insider as saying, “Apart from having catfights with Celina in Bangkok, Neha was the hot topic of conversation because she failed to report for the shooting of the film.

This irritated her co-stars, who were kept waiting endlessly. Neha had taken a day off to fly to Dubai for a show. The unit was expecting her the following day and her scenes were planned along with the other cast members but she missed her flight after a night of partying.” Well, we suggest that the lady parties when she has no work, which is quite often the case.

Q. Will your man belong to Bollywood?
A. Definitely not. He wouldn’t be from the (film) industry.

Q. Why?
A. Very simple. I don’t have a liking for industry men much. Secondly, I would not like to discuss films after coming back home from work.

Q. Would he be a metrosexual guy?
A. No way! I detest metrosexual men right from my childhood.

Q. Reason?
A. Because, I just cannot stand men who pedicure and manicure. I remember my father telling me why do these men don’t leave pedicure and manicure to women.

Q. Do you mean to say that men should leave their fingers and feet unclean?
A. No, not at all. I don’t mean them to remain dirty, but cleanliness not at the cost of being manly. They should not exhibit feminine qualities.

Q. Would he be very good looking?
A. I cannot stand good-looking men.

Q. Then?
A. He has to be someone who is robust and has a manly appearance.

Q. A man with brain or brawn?
A. A man with brain would be my choice.

Q. Would he need to be rich?
A. See, I prefer a man to excel in earning and leave the spending to me (laughs).

Having won the ‘Fa’ Femina Miss India title in 2002, Neha Dhupia is indeed a beautiful lass and one among the pretty ladies in Bollywood today. Although Neha has failed to leave an impact on Bollywood, she has left the imprint of being a sexy lady among the audience. Her beauty and sex appeal is not only a topic of discussion among her directors, but also the audience! But here is the anti-climax; Neha does not consider herself to be beautiful at all!! Believe it or not, Neha does not consider her to be beautiful, but says that she is average-looking. Neha says, “I don’t consider myself to be beautiful, but my appearance is like the other girls in general. According to me, Lisa Ray and Aishwarya Rai are beautiful women.” Recalling an incident of her childhood days, Neha says, “I was so fatty during my school days that no boy used to talk with me. Neither did anyone present me any gift. A reason for this could be that my father, who was in the Army, and my elder brother always protected me like bodyguards.” All these notwithstanding, winning the Miss India title, Neha has proved to the world that she is not only beautiful, but also intelligent. Anyways, it seems that the boys at Neha’s school must be repenting now. Had they presented Neha with gifts then, it might be possible that they could win her heart then! Well, after learning about Neha’s story, we have begun wondering if the fantasy stories being shown on Indian television these days are inspired from her life. Many of these soaps storyline revolves around beautiful girls who either resemble superstars or are maids waiting for the prince charming to come and propose their hands. Dhupia has enough reasons to await the coming month of February. The lady has two back to back releases this February. She will be seen on the big screen with her ‘Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama’ as early as Februrary 1. This film which comes from the makers of ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’, is a comedy with centered on the theme of extra marital affairs. Rajpal Yadav plays Neha Dhupia’s philandering husband in the film. The movie also stars Ashish Chaudhary and Amrita Arora. Again within a gap of just one week, she will hit the screens as the solo lady in Rajat Kapoor’s ‘Mithya’. With Ranvir Shorey as her co-star, this one is also a comedy though with elements of thrills in it. Later in the year, Neha Dhupia would also be seen in ‘Maharathi’, ‘Singh is Kinng’and ‘I Am 24’.
