Actor Ameesha Patel may be flying high these days… what else can one expect when you have a London-based industrialist for a boyfriend, huh? But then yet again, in spite of this classy, illustrious dil ka connection, Patel finds herself being compared to the likes of Rakhi Sawant. And that, she’s not too happy with. It’s the mad New Year’s Eve fiasco that has got B-wood in a flurry. Who is charging how much for a performance this festive season is the big question… And the buzz doing the rounds is that the bold and entertaining Rakhi is being paid more to shake her booty than our sophisticated, suave Amy baby. This rumour has affected Ameesha quite a bit. ‘After all she’s in the big league, working with Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Saif…’ says a friend of the actor’s, ‘So she being paid less than Rakhi sounds so far fetched!’ How far these actors will go and how much they’ll fetch, we don’t know dearies! Rakhi Sawant has gone under the knife, Rakhi’s well-connected PR machinery sprung into action. “Rakhi has not undergone any facial surgery or any kind of artificial treatment recently. She hasn’t been under the knife as incorrectly reported. It was just a different kind of look that the Item Queen and enigmatic actress was trying out,” said a release from her public relation manager.Elaborating on the issue, Rakhi Sawant’s PRO said, “Rakhi was wearing a natural French-style make up. She had taken some lessons from a phirangi make-up artiste-stylist and wanted to try out the effect on herself. In fact, we told her she looks totally different and the media may not be able to comprehend the difference but she wanted to do something different. Rakhi was also exhausted after a few days of continuous rehearsals besides was facing the strain of a relationship gone sour. “My relationship with Abhishek is over. We all have to move on in life. Life goes on and disappointment and failure is all part of the growing up process. The only Constant in Life is Change. I have moved on and put the past behind me.

We all fall down and rise up and begin all over again. I have begun a new innings. Abhishek is a closed chapter in my life and I do not want to discuss him ever again,” said Rakhi.

Sassy item girl Rakhi Sawant left macho star Salman Khan completely stumped when she unexpectedly popped the question - “Marry me!” - during the grand finale of his reality television show Dus Ka Dum. Rakhi also produced a ring after asking Salman to marry her,according to a press statement.During last year’s finale of dance reality show Nach Baliye 3, where Salman was the chief guest, Rakhi had walked away from the sets in a huff.Rakhi had lost to Sanjeeda Sheikh and Aamir Ali in the show and stormed off the stage with her beau Abhishek Awasthi in tow. Even though Salman followed her to pacify her, she snubbed him and drove off in her car.Salman was apparently miffed with her after that. But considering that she was invited to his show, Salman seems to have forgiven the controversy queen.Rakhi was on the show with comedian Shakeel Siddiqui to play the game. Two other celebrities, actors Rani Mukerji and Lara Dutta also graced the show, which will be telecast on September 14 at 20:00 hrs IST on Sony Entertainment Television.

This week has been really tough on Shilpa. First Jade Goodie’s traumatic adieu. Then a member of her own film fraternity Rakhi Sawant was heard telling tv channels that a contestant on Big Boss must have been changed because of Shilpa. When questioned about Rakhi’s allegation Shilpa says she’s appalled. “I don’t even want to talk about her. But I was very hurt. I really like Rakhi. Why was she talking this way about me without knowing the facts? How does she know the facts about how contestants were chosen? I don’t think it’s right for anyone to shoot off her mouth in this way. You may have an outspoken image that you’re always eager to uphold. But please don’t flaunt that image at my cost.” Shilpa was also appalled by her effigies being burnt. Apparently a guy Ramdas Atahavle was approached to go into the house. He claims he was dropped because of Shilpa’s manoeuvres. The actress doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry at this. “It’s the channel’s prerogative to select or reject a candidate.

Until two days prior to the show I didn’t even know who was going. The format doesn’t allow the host to know the contestants. Mr Athavle claims he was dropped on discriminatory grounds because he was a Dalit and Sanjay Nirupam was taken instead.”Shilpa is outraged. “Why was I being blamed if a candidate didn’t make it into Big Boss? Why were they throwing stones at the channel Colors’ office and burning my effigy? They even held a dharna in Lonavla in front of the Big Boss house. Why me? Every time I’m associated with something people try to use my name for their own purposes. Please leave me alone.” Taking a deep breath Shilpa laughs. “I think I should take all this attention as a compliment. But somewhere it does take its toll on my mental equilibrium. We all need to be more responsible about our duties as a citizen. My phone went ballistic on Tuesday. I’m in the midst of a dozen things and then to be badgered like this! I’m human and I don’t like my name being constantly used. Don’t hit where it hurts the most.

I think they should start auctioning my effigies.” Laughs Shilpa, “But really, Rakhi Sawant takes the cake. What authority does she have to make such charges against me? I’d have Rakhi know that it’s the channel’s prerogative to decide the participants. I’m hired by the channel to do a job. SRK to appear on Rakhi’s chat show

Item girl Rakhi Sawant managed to have some Bollywood biggies on her chat show but her wish list is not limited up to them only. She wanted the presence of the most vibrant actor of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan on her show. After getting nod from perfectionist Aamir Khan, Rakhi deliberately followed Shahrukh to acquire his acceptance. Finally, King Khan gave his words to Rakhi to be her guest.
Rakhi’s joy knew no bounds when Shahrukh sent her an SMS confirming his presence. Rakhi said, “Yes Shah Rukh has agreed to shoot for me. I am thrilled because I always wanted him to be a guest on The Rakhi Sawant Show. Since he has been so busy with his films and other work, I wasn’t sure if he would agree. But he did, and I am very excited that he finally said yes!”

Rakhi will shoot with Shahrukh when he will be free and give his suitable dates. After getting approval from the two Khans, Rakhi eyes Salman Khan. She feels it’s an honor to have the three great Khans on her show.

Get ready to digest this indigestible one…. SLB has teamed two vastly different actors, SRK and Rakhi Sawant, for the lead pair in his next venture. Confirming this, a source close to the director says, “It is going to be an out and out romantic film. Sanjay wants to recreate the magic of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam with this one.” But why such an unlikely pairing? Says the source, “Sanjay is such a great director that you can never doubt his talent and insight. He is not afraid to try out things that others won’t even dream of. So, there must be solid logic behind his decision.” All the critics have mixed opinions about the fact that pairing Rakhi with SRK is a wise judgement or just a shock factor to arouse curiosity. As for us, we are all awaiting with baited breath for a powerhouse performance from Rakhi under the influence of King Khan.

Item queen of Bollywood Rakhi Sawant is keen to get into the A-league of Bollywood. She recently performed an item number in Rakesh Roshan’s Krazzy 4 . And if sources are to be believed Rakhi has been signed by Yash Raj Films for their forthcoming film. According to a source, Rakhi has been signed for Yash Raj’s Shahid Kapoor – Rani Mukherjee starrer to be directed by Anurag Singh. “It’s going to be a life time role for Rakhi. It’s not a cameo. She will be seen as a dancer from the Bhand Samaj doing nautanki . Rakhi’s role is quite bold just like the way she is in her real life. She will have some really bold dialogues and rocking dance numbers in the film.” reveals a source. It is believed that Rakhi’s role in this film will help her raise the bar and be at par with the ‘A’ league actresses. The source adds that Chopras have asked Rakhi not to talk about the film as per their confidentiality policy. When we quizzed Rakhi about the film, she was surprised to know how we came to know about it. She neither confirmed nor denied the news but as expected, asked us, “Who told you about this? I don’t want to comment on this.” She further said, “It’s my dream to work with Yash Raj. I am dying to work with them and if I get an opportunity to work with them, it would be like a dream come true.” Yash Raj Films maintain complete secrecy about their projects but it is believed that the film will commence in March 2008.

Rakhi and Abhishek may not spend Valentine’s Day together

The couple has been much in news lately for their appearance and chemistry on the reality shows. But now Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasthi may not spend Valentine’s Day together. Reason? They had a heated argument on Monday night following which Rakhi threw her live-in boyfriend out of her house. It so happened that Abhishek had brought DJ Shezwood to Rakhi’s house to discuss a project. Rakhi was talking about her career and the direction when Abhishek interfered to express his opinion. Rakhi didn’t take kindly to his comments and snapped at him. What followed was exchange of harsh words with Rakhi finally asking Abhishek to leave. Abhishek stormed out and went with Shezwood to his house. Rakhi refuses to comment claiming to be sick, “I am not feeling well and don’t want to say anything.”However Abhishek was forthcoming, “Yes, we did have a fight. But I am desperately trying to get through to Rakhi. However, she’s not reachable. It was a minor argument that escalated into something big. I also lost my temper and ended up saying things; which, in retrospect, seem harsh. I want to talk to her and make her understand my point of view. I hope that she forgets and forgives whatever happened.”
