Celina Jaitley now joins the list of celebrities who have come forward to campaign for their favourite candidates contesting the Lok Sabha elections. Celina, it seems, was quite a crowd-puller when she hit the streets in Uttar Pradesh to campaign for Vibhakar Shastri, the grandson of the third prime minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri. Vibhakar is the Congress party’s candidate from Fatehpur.Sources say Celina and Vibhakar are close friends since their grandfathers were best of friends. “Celina comes from a family that has seen four generations joining the armed forces.
She recently campaigned for Vibhakar Shastri who is one of the youngest candidates of the Congress,” says the source. The insider adds, “Celina has really cherished the experience of going out and meeting people from all walks of life. She is excited to have taken part in the election process. Celina is a socially-conscious individual who has always stood up for what is right and she truly felt like doing this.
She knows Vibhakar very well and feels he would be a good leader. Celina says, “Vibhakar is young and dynamic and comes from a very affluent, experienced family. It was an honour to continue this family friendship through generations.”
