Kareena Kapoor has often said that she needs to practice yoga just like she needs to brush her teeth. However the cold climate of Ladakh have forced her to make an exception. She is currently shooting for Raj Kumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots there with Aamir Khan. Her trainer Payal Gidwani informs us, “Kareena has gone to Ladakh for a week. The temperatures there drop rapidly and the air is very thin. Besides that, her schedule is very tight, so she cannot follow her Yoga routine there. The last time she was there for the shooting of Tashan, she had taken someone along to practice her routine but this time, no one has accompanied her.”Kareena has been traveling around the globe for her films. She was in Australia for Main aur Mrs. Khanna, and then she flew to Bangkok for a day for an awards ceremony after which she went to London followed by San Francisco for Kambakht Ishq and was back in Thailand for Golmaal Returns. So how does she manage to exercise while globetrotting? “My colleagues or I travel with her to make sure she follows her routine.Besides that Kareena is a very dedicated and hardworking girl who is very focused about her workouts,” explains Payal.The Bollywood beauty has bid adieu to the skinny 49 kg frame she built for Tashan and is not waif thin anymore.
Payal agrees, “I think Kareena looks her best right now. She is 53 kilos and doesn’t need to put on or lose any weight.”Miss Kapoor had ditched her favourite Thai and Chinese cuisines for fruit yoghurt and cabbage but now she is back to eating normally. “Kareena eats anything and everything now; whatever she gets and whatever she likes. She goes out for dinners but she never misses her exercise. Her routine consists of a warm up followed by Surya Namaskar variations. Then there are exercises for each body part and we conclude with breathing exercises like Pranayam. The number of repetitions depends on her energy and stamina levels,” informs Payal.
