If rumours can be believed, then believe this… Salman Khan has found a Katrina Kaif lookalike to love and romance. After a huge search for the right actress to play the role of Salman’s lover in epic flick Veer, an identical girl in looks to Katrina Kaif has been found. A source from the unit reveals, “The auditions for the new face opposite Salman has been on, for a long time. We’ve already screen-tested 30-odd girls and he didn’t particularly like any girl.”
The makers wanted a girl with a fair skin, so she could pass off as a white girl. The story is based in the 1900 just at the peak of the British taking control over Indian provinces. Sallu’s new leading lady is currently going through various classes for acting, diction, dancing etc to polish her on-screen act. The shooting for Veer has already begun and Salman has shot for a song, with a few passing shots of the new actress.”
The girl (who has yet to decide on her screen name) is from Mumbai and was chosen from more than 30 others. A production guy from the unit, who has seen her, says, “I thought she was Katrina Kaif’s sister but it turns out they are not related. The resemblance is uncanny.”
