Frienships fizzling out is nothing new in Bollywood. This time though, if rumours are to be believed, the latest to hit headlines is a fallout between good friends Sanjay Dutt and Suneil Shetty. Barely has the SRK Salman spat died down and we hear of yet another showdown in B town. This time it’s between old friends Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt. Supposedly the reason for the whole messy affair is Sanjay Dutt’s dissatisfaction over Money matters involving Suniel’s long standing project EMI that has Dutt in a special appearance. Even after a year of being in production, the film is far from complete. Sanjay had earlier wanted to re-shoot EMI because he felt he looked exremely plump in the film. After a lot of arguments and discussions, Suneil convinced Sanjay to leave well enough alone since a reshoot would involve rescheduling of dates and escalating costs.
According to sources the matter didn’t end there. When Sanjay came back from South Africa after shooting for ‘Luck’ and ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’, Suneil set up dates for Sanjay to finish dubbing for EMI. To his surprise, Dutt never showed up. Suneil arranged for a media interaction last week at Anand Dubbing Studio to promote EMI but it had to be called off because of Dutt’s no-show. In both instances, Sanjay cited the same reason; he was unwell. However, when asked whether the rumours floating around about the show down between him and Sanju baba were true, Suneil was quick to rubbish the rumours and said, “Do you think so?Well it can never be possible. Me and Sanju can never fight and If ever something like that comes up, I will be the first one to go up and say sorry because I would not want to lose a friend like Sanju. I dont even call him a friend; He’s like a brother to me. It hurts when a message like this comes across and without even cross checking with us.”
With that statement, hopefully Suneil has put those rumour mills to rest. After all, just like Sanju baba, isn’t Anna too known to have a heart of Gold.
