This is not the first time that a small screen star is looking up to the big screens, but yes there is a difference. Television’s most popular ‘bahu’, Smriti Irani, has decided to step in to world of bigger screen but not as an actor, as a producer. Smriti will produce her first film (a comedy) in joint collaboration with leading production house UTV. While the cast is yet to be finalized, the script writing has been handed over to Kamlesh Pandey of ‘Rang De Basanti’ fame and Imtiaz Patel. The film will be entirely shot in India and would be a different kind of a comedy which Indian cinema has never ever witnessed. From popular small screen Bahu to politics, from direction to producing films, Smriti has surely come a long way!
