Yesteryears famous actor Dharmendra who ruled millions of heart and still seen in films playing prominent role is admitted to the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education (PGIMER) following chest pain. He was under observation and the actor’s health was being monitored. He was admitted to hospital after he complained of fatigue and chest pain.

A PGIMER spokesperson said that Dharmendra will be discharged from the hospital shortly after he clears all the health tests.Dharmendra has been traveling to various parts of Punjab to shoot for his new film, ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ with both his son Sunny and Bobby Deol. He has many hit films in his credit and he also starred with his two sons in ‘Apne’.

To lift up the career of his daughter Esha Deol, he will also be seen in his daughter’s film to be directed by Hema Malini. We wish Dharmendra a speedy recovery!

Sanjay Dutt has installed a 42-inch LCD in his vanity van especially to catch the Indian Premier League matches. As the actor is busy shooting for Anees Bazmee’s No Problem, he has been catching up on the action during the breaks in the van. Says the film’s producer Rajat Rawail, “Baba in recent times installed this huge screen so that all of us could watch it together. He has his own team of buddies to watch the matches along.

It includes his business manager Dharam Oberoi, producer Sohail Maklai, distributor Raju Bansal and myself.” Adds Rawail, “Baba is an ardent cricket fan. We are supporting the game and not any particular team, we just want to enjoy the sport — a good match makes for some compelling viewing for us.”

Action star Akshay Kumar newly enjoyed a tight slap from an extraordinary monkey. The ‘Khiladi Kumar’ did not mind it at all and took it sportingly as it was a part of a comic sequence in ‘Housefull’. The actor was happy that the monkey, in question, was a special one – a Hollywood star. The monkey named Tara, a10-year-old female capuchin, rose to stardom as Captain Barbossa`s monkey ‘Jack’ in the Johnny Depp-starrer ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’.Tara is a superstar and according to reports, she has a whole range of toys designed after her character in the ‘Pirates…’.

Sources reveal that when producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sajid Khan tried to get the monkey’s dates for their film, they came across a problem. Her dates clashed with those of Akshay Kumar. The producer-director finally managed to get one day for their shoot and the comic shot was completed at one go. Sajid Nadiadwala is trying his best to get Tara’s dates to promote the film and bring her safely to Mumbai. After all, she is no less a star than Akshay Kumar.

Mandira Bedi, the charming host of IPL, has been ousted to make way for a younger team!The glamorous commentator who had to learn everything about the sport from scratch, refused to comment on the matter other than to confirm that she would not join the team for season 3.In an official statement, executive vice-president of SET Max (the channel that will air the matches) Sneha Rajani stated that they are looking to try something different, hence the reason for not having Bedi around.

Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi seems to have more than one thing in common. Their soured friendship saw the day of the light when both of them took up the same cause and decided to spread awareness about it. Abhishek and Vivek have taken up the responsibility of spreading awareness about cancer and helping it’s patients.

At a recently organized fund raising fashion show, they walked the ramp for designer Shania NC and spoke about the deadly disease. When asked that of all the Khans, which one she prefers the most, to which the actress replied, All are really different. While Oscar winning director James Cameron was in the country recently for a conclave Asin was the lucky actress to have met him. She was present at the conclave to represent the industry’s youth and speak on the subject of Reality v/s Idealism. She got the opportunity speak to him at length during the evening that followed.

Reveals a source present, “Asin and James were both present to bring in Aamir‘s birthday and they had a great time. Aamir even joked to Asin asking her to put a single candle on his cake as opposed to 45 of them. They had a quiet dinner together and discussed cinema and the likes. James Cameron even pulled Asin’s leg to the extent that James was asking her for her autograph throughout the evening.”

We come to hear that Asin being the great conversationalist that she is, jokingly asked the world’s renowned director if he wanted to break into Bollywood to which the witty director replied, “Sure, why not but on one condition, no song and dance for me in my movie”

A lot has been written about the on-screen chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Mexican actress Barbara Mori, but both share a great off-screen chemistry also, according to the director of ‘Kites’ – Anurag Basu. Talking to a news daily about the Hrithik-Barbara chemistry, Anurag recalled a humorous event from ‘Kites’, “We were doing an intense scene which had a long dialogue.

Towards the end, Barbara was supposed to slap Hrithik. We okayed the scene. But Barbara asked me if it was possible to do a retake, because she wanted to slap Hrithik again. It was a prank, but I decided to play along. Duggu was very surprised when I told him we’d do the scene again because I’d already told him the earlier take was fine.”

With Basu frantically trying to convince Hrithik, the actor became cautious. “So when we shot again, just as Barbara was about to slap him, Duggu ducked and slapped her instead. Barbara was shocked. Then she realised that Hrithik had seen through her prank and everyone on the sets burst out laughing,” said a playful Basu.

Age’s no bar when it comes to admiring the gorgeous Deepika Padukone, and veteran actor Shammi Kapoor is proof of that. The actor (who’s Ranbir Kapoor’s grand uncle) joined Twitter a while back, and one of his recent messages was to Deepika. He tweeted, “Hi Deepika–would like you to communicate maybe could meet over a cup of coffee at my place— love, Shammi uncle.”Now, isn’t that sweet? Deepika didn’t see the message immediately, but when she did, she thanked him immediately.

And she was quite excited about meeting him for coffee.  Deepika’s a huge fan of the actor. And like the rest of us, she remembers him singing ‘Yahoo!’ (and looking quite handsome) in the classic movie ‘Junglee’. It’s a mutual admiration society between the two really. Shammi Kapoor tweeted later to Deepika (after watching her performance at the IPL opening ceremony), “You were the best that IPL offered today—-Love.”

The effects of shooting and travelling continuously finally caught up with Katrina Kaif. Yesterday (March 17), the actress collapsed on the sets of Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ in Malshej Ghat. The unit, including her co-star Akshay Kumar, got very worried, since they were shooting in a place without proper medical facilities. So a doctor from Mumbai was called in to check up on Katrina.

Apparently, Katrina was given a saline drip and told to take complete rest. It turned out that the actress had fainted because of low blood pressure; the extreme heat in the location also contributed to her feeling weak. Add the stress of work – a series of movie and advertisement shoots in different locations – and it’s a recipe for ill health.

We hope Katrina takes it easy, and gets back to being completely fit real soon.
